Advent music by Michael Ferguson

Today I’m taking a break from piano music to show off a beautiful choral piece written by my friend Michael Ferguson. For me, this is certainly sound that “quiets the noise.”

The English translation of the original Latin words goes like this:

I heard a voice coming from heaven:
Come all wisest virgins;
Fill your lamps with oil
For the bridegroom is coming.

At midnight there was a cry:
Behold, the bridegroom comes.
