Study in Silence

I’m very happy, after a very long hiatus, to post new music again today. This piece is a side-effect of a collaboration with my friend Ehsan to write a new Sanctus (which we will share once we have a good recording). The recurring motif is from the hymn “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence”.  I hope you enjoy it.

Grace and peace to you…

Your opinion, please…

As I mentioned earlier this year, I have a goal to record an EP of some of my music and make it available from sites like Bandcamp, iTunes, etc..  I’m thinking of trying to include 5 or so pieces and I’d love to know if you have any favorites you’d like me to include.

All 39 pieces I’ve posted so far are available on the Just Listen page. I’d love it if you’d take a look and listen and comment below to tell me which are your favorites.

Thanks to all who hang out here!

Mmmm…what to call this new piece? Mmmm…not sure.

As promised last week, here is part two of my setting of the hymn known as St. Patrick’s Breastplate. Posted here is the piano accompaniment; maybe in the future I can post the whole hymn, sung.
